COMMUNITY ATTENDS THE IJGA OPEN HOUSE ON LABOR DAY IJGA held an Open House on Labor Day, Monday, September 3, at the Old Carolina campus inviting the community to see the facilities, play golf for free on the new Challenge Course and promote the After School Junior Golf Program. Junior golfers and their families enjoyed testing their skills on the Himalayas and large putting green, participating in the closest-to-the-pin contest, experiencing the indoor training facilities, hitting bay and Swing Catalyst 3D Motion Plate & Studio. IJGA student- athletes served as Academy ambassadors and escorted the families around campus. The After School Program kicks off this month. KICK-OFF FOR THE AFTER SCHOOL JUNIOR GOLF PROGRAM IJGA recently launched its After School Junior Golf Program on the campus of Old Carolina. The program is offered on Mondays and Thursdays, 4:30 – 6:30 p.m., with the mission of growing the game of golf for junior players. With personalized instruction provided by IJGA coaches, the program offers juniors Swing Catalyst analysis and assessment, putting analysis and drills, pitching techniques and distance control and Challenge Course skill transfer. Players have the option of the twice-weekly instructions or a Monthly or Annual Membership. The memberships enable players to have full weekend access to the outdoor Challenge Course, Himalayas, putting green, indoor hitting bays, short game practice area, recreation lounge and lunch at FUEL.
