IJGA’S RESPONSE TO
CORONAVIRUS
Thank you for your patience and
understanding as we work together to
tackle this fast-moving and complex public
health crisis. We understand this has been
a difficult period for our student-athletes
and staff as we do our part to flatten the
curve of community spread. Each day we are
experiencing new challenges, and the IJGA
family is adjusting in ways that none of us
could ever have imagined… with resilience,
reassuring grace and heart-felt support for
one another.
While we have taken significant measures
to adapt to multiple changes already, IJGA
must continue to adjust our operations as
the COVID-19 situation evolves. The news
from the Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention (CDC) is changing every day, and
we want to keep you informed as we chart a
course of action.
This message follows website and email
communications that unfold on a more
frequent basis. We will continue to use those
distribution channels for timely updates. The
following summary provides an overview to
our response to Coronavirus.
Operational Changes
• Consolidation of Bishops Gate and Old
Carolina campuses, effective immediately
• Old Carolina students have been
relocated to Bishops Gate
• Collection of resources (i.e. computers,
golf technologies, personnel) gathered at
Bishops Gate
• Bishops Gate golf course open to IJGA
students only
• Practicing self-distancing and isolation for
staff and students
Frequent Updates and Actions
• Daily Crisis Committee meetings with
senior leadership
• Catering and Fitness Centers limited to
students only
• Students returning to campus, from
traveling abroad, are isolated in separate
bedrooms, with separate bathrooms,
