CAPTAINS’ LEADERSHIP TRIP TO THE PGA SHOW As a leader and a captain, very often the contributions made into the greater good are unseen and unthanked. At IJGA we have a very unique opportunity where students can volunteer into captains’ positions and serve in a council to work to make an even greater experience for the IJGA students to come. This allows students to gain leadership experience by serving their peers but also learning how to interact with others to make things happen. Spotted at the PGA Show IJGA Director of Golf Jonathan Yarwood shared a selfie with Scotty Cameron. As a small thanks to this group of students, IJGA supported the opportunity to attend the 2019 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Florida, where they were able to interact with college PGM programs, see the state of the practice technology, demo next years equipment and better understand the world of golf. This team bonding opportunity also included a trip to TopGolf, Andretti Go Carts and Entertainment, and a visit and educational experience at the Jacksonville Zoo. We are proud of our IJGA Captains and are very thankful and appreciative for all they do to further a great experience at IJGA.
