NEWS PGA TOP 100 SUMMIT At least in America, Pinehurst (N.C.) is a name that is practically synonymous with championship golf. The golf resort that boasts nine golf courses, three hotels, plus spa and leisure facilities has a storied history amongst golfers. I visited the resort for the first time recently, to witness it playing host to the 2019 GOLF’s Top 100 Teachers Summit. MEXICO CITY CLINIC IJGA Director of Golf Jonathan Yarwood recently visited Mexico City and held a golf clinic for juniors as part of an alliance it formed with the Mexican Golf Federation. I was lucky enough to join this event as a Jonathan Yarwood PGA Top 100 Teacher Gary Gilchrist PGA Top 100 Teacher guest of top Teaching Professional and social media influencer Trillium Rose. Trillium, based in Washington DC, currently serves as the chair of the National PGA Coaching and Player Development Committee and has been involved with the IJGA for several years, as an Advisory Board member. Having worked with many of the teaching professionals in attendance over the years, I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to reconnect with friends and colleagues. The two-day gathering was a valuable networking and educational event for all and let’s not forget, Instagram worthy! The focus of the Top 100 6
