Periodized Training

time frames into the following phases in order to create
performance on demand:
TECHNICAL
This is a mechanical phase where skills are acquired
and the focus in internal. Skill Acquisition.
BLENDING
In this pre competition phase, a player will blend
technical with “feel” to build trust in their technique
and transfer skills to the golf course. Skill Mastery.
COMPETITIVE
Putting your skills to the test in tournaments.
Skill Transfer.
REST AND EVALUATION
Resting the mind and body, reflecting on what
worked, what didn’t and then creating a new plan.
FEEDBACK/ANALYSIS
Big picture of a periodized training month:
The training month varies from player to player
in its length. A player may need more technical
time than another, so we have to personalize it.
