Starting with a generational discussion is important because Gen Z is so unique . The most startling differentiator is that members of Gen Z [ born from 1995 – 2009 ] are digital natives who have little or no memory of the world as it existed before smartphones . They comprise nearly 2 billion people globally , and they do not just represent the future , they are creating it . Gen Z ’ s have been born into a period of terrorism , the global recession , climate change , and now COVID-19 . They are spending their young adult years in a time of economic and social upheaval .

The DiSC Profile comprises the second phase of the kickoff ; it is a nonjudgmental tool used for a discussion of people ’ s behavioral differences . Students answer a series of questions that produce a detailed report about personality and behavior . It is a valuable tool for gaining insights into self-knowledge , conflict resolution , motivation , and problem solving .
