Time domain and Frequency domain response ‐relationship between the time and frequency
domain responses. Stability ‐ concept of pole and zero ‐ Routh‐Hurwitz Criteria, Nyquist criteria,
Root locus and Bode‐plot; P‐I, P‐D, P‐I‐D controller design, tuning of controllers; lead and lag
compensators. Sampled‐data systems sample and hold operations for digital control, controller
design for digital control systems.
Guidance: Fundamentals of guidance Basic results in interception and avoidance Taxonomy of
guidance laws, command and booming guidance, classical guidance laws Comparative study of
guidance laws from the point of view of time, missdistance, launch boundaries, control effort
and implementation difficulties. Basic concepts of launch vehicle guidance, Explicit and Implicit
