Yaya, Is it really Ramadaan? Has the best
month of the year begun?
Yes sweetie, we saw the moon, remember,
and all our decorating is done.
I know, but we haven’t met our family and
friends or gone to the Masjid at night.
Isn’t that what we do in Ramadaan Yaya,
huh? Tell me? Am I right?
Yes, that’s true, you are right, but I’m telling
you it’s here.
I must know because I’m fasting all day, for
the first time this year.
But mom hasn’t gotten all dressed up and
taken us to eat food in the ville,
And no one seem crazy busy and tired, in
fact they all seem relaxed and chill.
Hmmm, I wonder… can you be right? No
that can’t possibly be!
We eat suhoor and iftaar and make lots of
du’a daily.
Plus mom and dad are praying night prayer
and teaching us all these wonderful things.
This is definitely the month of Ramadaan,
because this is the beauty that it brings.
Well then, I don’t understand what has
changed and made it so different this year.
Baby, it’s probably because the coronavirus
is here.
The corona! Again! Oh goodness! What did
it do this time?
It’s already taken away my friends and all my
outdoor playtime.
It’s kept us distant and locked away from
the entire world outside.
Look at the positives hunny, Alhamdulillah
we have a place to hide.
You’re right Yaya, there have been good
things, like cooking with mom and dad
being at home.
I get to spend lots of time with my family,
so I never feel all alone.
That’s right my little angel, Allah has placed
goodness in everything,
Even the yucky corona virus, we just have
to look in.
Our family is closer than ever and mom and
dad are happy to be at home,
So this year we can worship Allah and focus
on Him alone.
Alhamdulillah! Yaya this is the best
Ramadaan ever,
Let’s make the most of this time we have
together.
Let’s spend the last ten nights, worshiping
our Lord and Master.
Together with our family, we will praise the
Almighty! Our Creator.
Let’s end this special Ramadaan on a very
high note.
Let’s show Allah that we are grateful for all
he has given us on this Earth.
Masha Allah! Little princess, I am so proud
of you.
May Allah always bless you with this
wisdom all the years through.
Let’s go tell mom and dad that we are happy
Ramadaan is here,
That we are glad our family is together
during the best time of year.
