Our main purpose at GFMTT is to inspire
each striving Muslimah with demanding
lifestyles (as wives/mothers/students/
working women etc.) to incorporate
health, mental, emotional, spiritual and
physical balance in their daily lives. An
important tenet of this sisterhood is the
concept of “holistic health”, indicating
that; we must find a sense of balance in
order to flourish mentally/emotionally,
physically and spiritually. Each aspect is
synergetic to the other and holds equal
amounts of significance in achieving a
“healthy persona”.

Get Fit Muslimah TT is a health and wellness group formed
in 2014 with the objective of creating a sense of community,
awareness and motivation toward health and fitness.GFMTT
is comprised of sisters like you and I who “struggle and
juggle” on a day to day basis to maintain proper health and
vitality. This group was created for women like us who have
been longing to make that change; for the woman who needs
that extra incentive towards achieving her fitness goals. We
celebrate the beautiful creation of Allah SWT that is “The
Woman” and we uphold the importance of Self-Love and
positive Self-Image beyond weight and waist/hip ratios.
What began as a Facebook based group is
taking shape into a physical one. GFMTT
successfully held our official launch
in February 2016. We also host a few workout sessions via
our resident “fitty” Sister Hanna Ali. We have hosted Mini
Events such as our Burn Event and Family Hike. GFMTT
recognises the importance of the group dynamic and the
level of motivation that a physical group can provide. Thus
we intend to host more mini events such as; a Nutri-Session
with the Nabilahs (Sister Nabilah Mohammed “health foodie”
and Dr. Nabilah Mohammed). Look out for more from Get Fit
