n 1893, Mother María José Aubert (Suzanne, originally
from France) and four of her sisterhood arrived in
Wanganui, after spending ten years wandering through
the jungles of Auckland and Hawkes Bay. At that time New
Zealand was mostly wild and dotted with sporadic settler
posts and isolated Maori villages...
