In 1919, Junior Achievement Worldwide
(JAWW) was founded by three visionaries
and successful entrepreneurs with the pur-
pose of inspiring and preparing young peo-
ple to succeed in the global economy.
In 1975 the organization was teaching
young people the basic principles of mar-
ket economy and entrepreneurship in the
classrooms.
During the last 20 years, Junior achievement
has gradually expanded its activities and it
is currently the non profit educational orga-
nization with more experiences, expansion
and growth in the world.
“In Colombia Junior Achievement started
its activities in 1999 and to date more than
500,000 children and young people have
participated in our practical educational
programs in public and private schools in
several cities of the country with the “learn
by doing” approach and under the motto
of Learning to Undertake.”
