10 Apps to Spark Your
Students’ Creativity

School is back in session, and with our first issue of Ignite for 2018-
2019, we’re taking a look at AOPS educators who are giving students
the freedom to create their own solutions to overcome classroom and
community challenges.
They’re getting students crafting. They’re getting students
engineering. Most importantly, these teachers are getting their
students thinking and building creatively to fuel personal and
academic growth.
For example, Notre Dame de Lourdes Elementary School teachers are
using quirky new Ozobots to inspire students with a fun, intuitive
approach to computer programming.
At St. Ignatius of Antioch Catholic School, creative problem-solving
means putting children in charge of crafting birthday surprises for
peers who aren’t fortunate enough to be showered with presents on
their special day.
And at West Catholic Preparatory High School, educators are
immersing students in STEM with an in-depth engineering program.
Tackling practical problems, they’re employing professional CAD
software and real production equipment to bring solutions to life.
If you’re looking for inspiration on prompting students into creative
problem-solving, look no further than your colleagues at AOPS. Their
work is already helping students discover new ways to expand minds,
warm hearts, and change the world.
