WHAT DO TEENAGERS GAIN
With all the good weather gone until next Spring, what can we
do other than stay inside and stay on our computers or our
consoles? There is no point you walking round your garden
because that is dull and I’m sure you get sick of going to your
local shops as there is only so much you need from them. Well
what can we do? We could go out with our friends but I’m sure
that gets boring at some point. What about going out with our
parents? That’s great but it needs to be somewhere interesting
that isn’t a waste of time. What about English Heritage?
English Heritage owns over four
hundred properties over the
country (or if you live in Scotland
or Wales, there is an equivalent
version). It is good that there
are so many properties but
what can we gain as teens from
these properties? I’m sure you
don’t mind a bit of walking but
just walking around somewhere
which doesn’t have anything
to really see is tedious. English
Heritage is different though...

With English Heritage properties,

castle, hill fort or even the
beautiful ruins of an abbey.
What is actually there then?
You have got the sights of the
place, some with audio guides,
as well as its location, history,
scenic walks and at many
some form of museum. These
properties can be a full day out
or just a morning or afternoon.

buildings and why. Theologians
will be able to see how religion
was such an important part of
life and how it was incorporated
into the daily routine. If you are
