that betting and gaming-related or gaming sector adjacent entities have certainly not been slow to join the bandwagon. In the wake of the DraftKings deal, which completed in early 2020, operators Golden Nugget Online Gaming and Rush Street Interactive( RSI) have also taken the plunge, while in the related sphere Playstudios and more recently Genius Sports and Super Group have also successfully completed( or announced) listings via SPAC mergers.
Then there are the SPACs that are out there that have stated ambitions to target sports betting and related areas. By this report’ s reckoning, there are at least half a dozen or more SPACs that have

SANDFORD LOUDON, OAKVALE CAPITAL cited betting and gaming as areas of interest.
Matt Davey, the chief executive of Tekkorp, says that confluence is a“ great word to use” when describing the coincidence of the enthusiasm for betting and gaming in the US right now and the SPAC boom.
“ When you think about SPACs on their own, there is a huge amount of liquidity in the public markets because of the current low interest rate regime and people are looking at high growth assets generally,” he says.“ And in the gaming world, in the US you have perhaps the fastest growing sector in the betting and gaming market in the world right now.”
