IMMEDIATE IMPACT

In fact , in April the monthly total for the 80 % of the market represented in the figures was down 62 % month-on-month , or just over £ 99m . It turned out to be the worst month of the pandemic . By May , with the German Bundesliga returning mid-month , betting bounced back to £ 101.4m and then in June , when the English Premier League and horseracing resumed , betting totals recovered even further , rising to £ 217.9m .
