As of 30 September 30 2015, the UKGC had commissioned a total of 719 remote gambling activities, some way ahead of the 305 on 31 March 2012 and even further ahead of 269 at the end of March 2014. Gambling software leads the way with a total of 233 activities regulated under the Gambling (Licensing and Advertising) Act 2014, with online casino behind in second with 176. Between November 2014 and March of 2015, remote gaming generated a gross gambling yield (GGY) of £1.5bn and revenue share GGY of £673.5m. Casino was responsible for the majority of this, contributing £834.3m to the total GGY as well as £474.4m in revenue share GGY. Betting was also a front-runner in the market, generating a GGY of £472.7m in GGY, although pool betting could only collect £6.3m in GGY. Other key results from the UKGC report include football leading the way as the sport that generates the highest remote betting GGY, while slots were by far the most popular form of gaming within online casinos. Publication of the in-depth report comes after the UKGC revealed the UK’s non-remote industry generated a GGY of £5.4bn in the 12 months to March 31, up 2% on the previous year. Non-remote betting was up from £3.17bn to £3.25bn, while GGY from casinos also increased from £1.1bn to £1.2bn. Ladbrokes 54 Digital Sports Betting
