Structural issues have hindered the growth of esports in India , but there is huge potential for it to become a leading market
WITH ONE of the world ’ s youngest populations , and one set to surpass China in terms of numbers in the next five years , India is a future esports powerhouse that the industry should be keeping its eye on .
That said , a number of factors have been hampering the growth of the Indian esports market over the last decade . Among these are a comparatively small middle class and a low disposable income per capita , as well as a lack of regulation and industry bodies , all of which are important
