The North American market now accounts for over half of total revenues , up 115 % in Q2 to $ 13.4m , and chief executive Charles Gillespie was keen to stress why he believed the growth would continue . Indeed , asked about how the growth in the affiliate space in US gaming correlated with that of the operators themselves , Gillespie was particularly bullish .
“ Broadly speaking , if the operators are doing well and growing , I think you should expect the affiliates , at least from a revenue perspective , to be doing well and growing as well ,” he said .
“ Generally , speaking long term , we expect that to kind of outpace the operators . We expect the affiliate proportion of the overall sales and marketing expense from the operators to increase over time . And therefore , if the overall online gambling market in North America is growing at x , we ’ d expect our essentially North American TAM to be growing at something faster than x .”
Diving deeper into the dynamics of the US market , Gillespie went on to add some commentary around what market players would be relying more on affiliates compared to others in the market .
