FansUnite Fleshing out the bones

The newest listed affiliate in the space , and the home of the biggest so-called live activation affiliation programme in Betting Hero , FansUnite said in May that the business generated revenues of CA $ 8.3m , up from CA $ 7.3m in the prior year quarter .
Chief financial officer Graeme Moore said the growth was down to the success in activating customers during major sporting events as well as success in its other diversified revenue streams .
It added that the launch of OSB operations in North Carolina had helped contribute CA $ 450k over the period while the Betting Hero customer research offering saw revenues climb from less than CA $ 50k to CA $ 450k year-on-year . Moore added that the company was also hoping to expand the operations of Betting Hero in the digital activation space .
Looking ahead , CEO Scott Burton said Betting Hero was well positioned for new state launches as and when they come due to the “ team infrastructure ” that Betting
Hero has built out and then the existing relationships it has with the major operators .
He noted , moreover , that the research side of the business also gets asked to look into markets that are pre-launch such as California and Texas .
“ It could be customer surveys or looking for what people are looking for in their apps or if they ’ ve seen apps or gone to other states and used apps , which ones they use . So we can get business prior to a state opening up .”
