We sat down with Keith Camilleri to talk speed, flexibility and why so many platforms are failing operators
iGB Affiliate: How did Pragmatic Solutions come about? Keith Camilleri: The key stakeholders in Pragmatic Solutions share years of collective experience in the igaming industry.
The company was formed by forward-thinking entrepreneurs who wisely invested in a team of highly skilled professionals to obtain the best results possible, an asset that treasure. That gave us a solid base to evaluate the weaknesses of the industry and build an innovative, unique product.
We realised at an early stage that the industry is moving away from the closed system, all-in-one igaming platform and towards the need for an API-based, common-wallet platform with a strong core.
We built our product on a modular system, which is different to what the market is currently offering. We want to offer professionalism and we want our clients to know that they are investing correctly, hence feeling they can proceed with peace of mind and execute their business plans without technological limitations.
What issues do operators have with the current products out there? I’ ve been in the industry for the past 15 years, in both a B2B and B2C environment. All these experiences helped drive where I am now.

An operator is seeking a reliable tool to be used long term and undoubtedly it must, first and foremost, meet their business needs.
An operator looks for an alternative platform for two reasons: they are unsatisfied or they want to take business to the next level. One issue is that most platforms are not built on current technology. Another is that, unlike Pragmatic, other platforms were built for a different purpose. Old technology and incorrect fundamentals reflect in the available features, speed of delivery, stability and scalability of the platform. These limitations within the market were our main reasons for building a solid and robust platform.
A typical issue faced by operators is the use of U / IUX customisability or lack of it, as most platforms offer a template format. An operator should have the choice to have a unique website; with a template, the operator has no room to decide what to display. Ultimately these limitations are either business restrictions imposed on the operator by the platform provider or simply platform limitations. This is a model of the past that will not lead to long-term sustainable relationships.
What other limitations have you encountered in existing platforms? Two crucial factors in the igaming industry are stability and speed, as they can make or break a business. Stability is what you need whether it is a start-up or an established company. A business of
