WHO WE ARE

The International Fertilizer Development Center (IFDC) strengthens global agriculture. Since 1974, we have
helped get food from farm to fork in nearly 100 countries. From South America to sub-Saharan Africa to East
Asia, our projects engage policymakers, empower farmers and create agricultural markets.
Smallholder farmers are a pillar of prosperity. These farmers provide 85 percent of the food in developing
nations, overcoming many challenges along the way. Our projects increase access to effective tools and
remove barriers to income opportunities. IFDC enables producers to farm profitably, improving local, national
and global livelihoods. Our vision is a productive and well-fed world.
