My day everyday Well here we go again , up the hill two bullet holes in the front then a sudden shout of hold your fire . I don ' t know why I have to be dragged around all day getting shot at . There are 2171 of us driving through the harsh metal flying at us in every direction . We had to carry 19 million soldiers who either died or were scarred for life . At least the soldiers have some sort of cover . The only cover I have is a faded red cross symbol tattooed on the side of me . I know that technically I am saving lives but I would rather be riding around in protection so I wouldn ' t get shot at as much . The women that volunteer are always talking about knitting things for their husbands . Many of these women volunteer to be my driver along with working in the factories and buying war bonds . It is always so sweet to hear that people are working so hard to help their country . Well , I better go . I am driving soldiers just from the front line to an ambulance train with 500 more . They will be taken to safety for the time being . Honestly , many are glad they got hurt and could go home so they don ' t have to suffer in the harsh trenches any longer . They have been through so much like poisonous gas , and shrapnel shells coming down like harsh and fast rain which is why they wear metal helmets with rims so it doesn ' t hit their necks . I wish I had one of those .
