Canteen

I just came out of this factory , It was called the Rock Island Arsenal I think that ’ s what the people were calling it anyway . There were quite a few other canteens made as well . Me and all the other canteens are aluminum I think ? I am being put somewhere I don ' t know where I ' m going though . At least I think that ’ s what the people who made me are talking about something about taking us somewhere .. I ’ m being put in a truck right now , I wonder where I ’ m going !!

It ' s been awhile since I have seen any light I ’ m just in a box or something sitting here doing nothing . It ' s pretty boring in here . Oh ! The box is being opened ! Someone is taking me out ! Wow , its really bright out here . There handing me to a soldier !

Turns out the second they got me they took their old case and put it on me it ' s pretty dirty and worn and I can ’ t see to well because of it . I wonder how often they will use me ! Hopefully often enough so I can get this dirty cover of me soon …
