THE PISTOL AND ITS HISTORY BY LOGAN STOUT
WW1 I nearly got killed ... a grenade hurdeled over the walls and then an artillary attack happended . I want to go home .
This was a pistol from ww1 and was used to shoot people . It was mainly for close range for when you are fighting really close to them . It was used to shoot bullets at the enemies to kill them and try and win the war . Mainly officers used this because they were higher ranks in the wars . But on the other hand , soldiers still used them just not as much because they were in the trenches . The way they worked was there was a ammo magazine at the bottom and put would slide the magazine in and cock the top of the gun and pull the trigger . And the way it worked was that when you cocked it i was on fire which means you could shoot and when you fire it gunpowder will get heated and push a bullet out really fast from a piston pushing the bullet out . But sometimes the pistol can jam or malfunction which can be deadly for the person holding it . It can possibly explode if it malfunctions or if it jams and they look in the barrel , it could fire a bullet killing them . Also the bullets have lead that is poisonous which even if they survive getting hit with the bullet they will still die from lead poisoning if not taken out and treated . But different countries had different styles for guns like Germany has a luger which does not look like the one on the right 22
