Barbed wire is a rope made out of wire with sharp barbs attached to it . It was used in front of trenches to keep enemies out during ww1 , but soldiers from the trenches would get stuck in the barbed wire when told to run out and attack and would sometimes die on it . Originally , it was made for animals to keep them on their side of the fence , but it eventually got used for the great war . People in the trenches would joke that people were trapped ‘ on
the old barbed wire ’ and even made a song . some people call barbed wire the devil ’ s rope and I don ’ t think I have to explain why . I mean , it was really bad . ( I don ’ t have much more to say about this )
