Sanjay Thapa ~Trinity College, CT Hello. My name is Sanjay Thapa, a junior from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. I was born in Nepal, where I lived for nine years, before moving with my family to New York City. As such, much of my values and character have been shaped by a mixture of my Nepalese heritage and New York lifestyle. At Trinity, I am majoring in International Studies and minoring in Japanese. My hobbies and interests include, playing soccer and basketball, reading books, exploring new places and meeting new people. Moreover, I have a passion for learning about and understanding different cultures around the world in order to create and promote cross-cultural understanding in a constantly globalizing world. I have tremendous respect and admiration of the Japanese culture, language and people. Thus, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to be studying abroad this semester with IES Tokyo. I look forward to all the knowledge, memories, friendships, and experiences that await me this semester. Emily Yocom ~Penn State University, PA Hi everybody!
