Fostering Collaborations with the ECE Community The IEC provides a direct pipeline for industry to engage with a wide diversity of students and faculty .

The IEC ’ s unique “ Super Department ” model brings ECE focused Minority Serving Institutions together to provide industry leaders with efficient access to student and faculty talent .
Our collaborative approach makes it easier for corporations to work with a large number of diverse ECE students and faculty from leading Historically Black Colleges and Universities ( HBCUs ) and Hispanic Serving Institutions ( HSIs ).

The National Science Foundation ( NSF ) has been instrumental in the establishment of the IEC through a series of funded programs and activities . Through NSF ’ s continued support and collaboration , the IEC continues to develop educational programs and workshops critical in cultivating the IEC community .
