IEC Working Groups and Committees

Digital Systems Working Group

The Digital Systems Working Group is a community of scholars whose academic responsibilities include leadership of their department’s digital systems curriculum. The group holds regular virtual meetings to build community, develop tools, learn and share. 

Data Center/iMasons Working Group

The Data Center/iMasons Working Group works with iMason mentors to equip students with a high-level understanding of our digital infrastructure. 

Anti-Racism Practice in Engineering

Working Group

The Anti-Racism Practice in Engineering Working Group is a community that builds capacity in understanding and embracing anti-racist methods. The group inspires self-reflection and organizational review around equity and inclusion with the intent to launch transformational change at both the individual and systems levels.

IEC Strategic Planning Committee

The IEC Strategic Planning Committee meets weekly to drive the overall goals and objectives of the organization. The committee evaluates new partnership opportunities, research collaborations, programming initiatives and more.

IEC Program Committee

The IEC Program Committee meets to discuss issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion facing technology, serving as technology consultants and experts for the Consortium. The team oversees new program development, facilitates discussions about program priorities, provides recommendations and assembles keynote speakers and conference facilitators.

IEC Newsletter Committee

The IEC publishes a quarterly newsletter, the IEC Exchange. The newsletter includes featured articles, institution spotlights, professional career development, grant opportunities, and upcoming tech news. The IEC Newsletter Committee is responsible for soliciting articles and reviewing submissions.

IEC members are encouraged to be actively involved in working groups and committees of interest.
