The nature versus nurture debate has been going on since forever and it is impossible to clearly dictate one as the most affluent. Both affect and influence one another.
When looking at the greatest footballers, there are three major factors that have made them the way they are. They include genetic factors, environmental factors, and the coaching that they receieve.
Genetic Factors
The genetic factors that influence a footballer include their natural physical abilities. Examples of this are their hand-eye/foot-eye coordination, visual acuity, and their pre-dominant type of fibre muscles. As well as their in-born metal attributes which include their interest, focus, determination, motivation and so on. These factors determine the nature of the footballer.
The environmental factors that affect a footballer are for the most part the influences surrounding their immediate environment. This includes parental influences, peer influences, and school influences. Also the opportunities that they are provided with such as their access to facilities and training. These factors play part in the nurturing of a footballer.
Environmental Factors
Coaching
The coaching factor is significant in the development of physical and mental protocols of a player. In all, this refers to the quality of coaching and training a football receives. Through adequate coaching, the footballer is nurtured to become the best player they can be.
