Dworkin y Méndez Spanish Editor: Arnaldo Miguel Fernández IDENTIDADES is a publication of the Plataforma de Integración Cubana [Platform for Cuban Integration], a non-profit, non-partisan organization whose goal is to advocate for the rights of Afro-descendants and other marginalized groups in Cuba, promote their rights, and recover the history of their active participation in the creation and development of the Cuban nation and its culture. It aspires to discuss the difficulties faced by Afro-descendants and all discriminated people in today’s Cuba, and propose actions for confronting the problem and facilitating communication about it worldwide. It is open to people anywhere in the world interested in the topic who can offer their experiences and discuss a subject so important for Cuba and all other countries that received the African Diaspora, or where minorities are discriminated by those in power.
