“Nautas” Internet Access location
Cuban population gained free access to the Internet, years of lies would crumble. It would lose the
underpinnings of its power in short shrift. This
explains why it does not allow people to connect
to the Internet free of its control. This monopoly
turns most Cubans into the technological illiterates of Latin America, not to mention the rest of
the world. This is what puts Cuba’s economic, academic and cultural future at risk.
The Apostle José Martí once wrote: “BE EDUCATED TO BE FREE”; access to the Internet
and information technologies in CUBA is not a
luxury, but instead a kind of culture or education
that is essential to being free.
