very important phenomenon for all those who in some way or another identify
with the Yoruba religion to learn about and analyze what is taking place in Cuban society.
All throughout history, the Yoruba religion as been associated mostly with Afro-descendants, due to sharp stereotypes
and, somehow, due to discrimination.
Religions are not characterized by skin
color, sexual orientation, level of cultural attainment, or even age. Despite the
aforementioned association that is made
between the Yoruba religion and Afrodescendants, it is becoming increasing
common for more people of all different
races to practice this religion, or at least
be more interested in it. One increasingly finds people who, at the very least,
bear at least some attribute associated
with this belief. Religion should not be
