Bonners Ferry is the gateway to northern Idaho and the seat of government for Boundary County, Idaho. Boundary County is the only county in the nation to be bordered by two states and a foreign country. It has two ports of entry into the United States, one at Eastport and one at Porthill. More than 90 percent of the land is forested with three mountain ranges running throughout the county: Selkirk, Purcell and Cabinet.
