Idaho Deer Hunter Magazine Winter 2012/2013, Issue #3 | Page 15

About an hour passed and I spotted several deer below me working their way through the thick buck brush . I counted seven bucks and bringing up the rear was the boy we had been watching . My arrow was knocked and I was ready . A two point was the first to get to me and I ranged him at 25 yards . A tall four point was second in line . A few of the bucks had moved right feeding out of my range . The four point stopped and began to eat on a small bush I ranged him at 44 yards . It was now or never I looked across and seen my partners watching and I looked down at the larger buck way down the hill . This was my shot and this bow hunt was about to strike a victory . I sank my 40 yard pin on the deer and sent one his way . When I reached my partners they felt the same sense of victory I did . They watched the whole thing . I want to say thanks to Lee , Beau and Dusty for all their help and thanks for helping me fuel my passion .
