BOARD OF GOVERNORS
The Board is the body that governs the International Community School of Addis Ababa on behalf of the ICS Association , the owner of the school . All ICS parents , professional staff , and educational assistants are members of the ICS Association .
WHAT DOES THE BOARD DO ?
The Board has responsibility for setting the long term strategic objectives of the school in conjunction with the Head of School and the executive leadership team . Board members ensure that the school is financially sustainable , oversee the implementation of the school ’ s strategy , and act at all times in the best interests of students , parents , and staff .
HOW IS THE BOARD CONSTITUTED ?
The Board of Governors consists of up to nine members :
• Two are elected by members of the ICS Association
• Up to six are appointed by the Board through a nomination and appointment process
• One is the appointee of the Chief of the Diplomatic Mission of the USA to Ethiopia .
