The Student Support Teams ( SST ) collaborate as a part of multidisciplinary planning to identify students ’ academic needs and to provide targeted interventions that are personalized for each child . personalized manner through an additional layer of more intensive support . A school educational psychologist is available if further testing is needed to ensure interventions are targeted and highly effective .
The STEP Program at ICS is designed to provide a level of support beyond the RTI structure , including services , accommodations and modifications . Data-based guidelines are used to establish consistency and alignment with research-based best practices . Students in the STEP Program are included in the general education environment to the greatest extent possible . Additional support is provided to the student in the classroom with a trained educational assistant . In order to provide a high quality program , ICS charges additional fees for the STEP Program .
