At ICS we have designed Learning Communities , which are spaces where learning is collaborative and co-constructed between teachers and students , spaces where students work with each other to learn , grow , and excel , together .

Our Grade 9 Math Hub is the perfect example of learning communities in high school . The math hub has been a reimagining of the way high school math is structured . We have two classes working simultaneously , with each other and driven by student choice allowing students to learn at their own pace . There is ample opportunity for any student to extend themselves beyond what was previously possible as well as get peer support and teacher help as needed .
