INTERNATIONAL DAY

International Day is an annual event celebrated every February at ICS where we come together and celebrate our diversity . International Day allows us to recognize and appreciate over 60 nationalities represented at ICS . Each year we have different activities ranging from a Parade of Nations , International Food tastings , dance and musical performances , and Mother Tongue performances .

MESKEL

Meskel is an annual religious holiday in the Ethiopian Orthodox church , which commemorates the discovery of the True Cross . The Meskel celebration includes the burning of a large bonfire , referred to as ‘ Demera ’ in Amharic .
