HIGHLY EFFECTIVE LEARNING PROGRESSIVE
At ICS we are a highly effective learning progressive school . We believe that all students can learn and engage at high levels . This means we ensure that students “ acquire , develop and apply knowledge , skills and dispositions essential to succeed ”.
This insinuates we collaborate with students for them to have an impact on how and when they learn and demonstrate mastery of their knowledge , skills and dispositions .
We balance the required curriculum and instruction to be able to succeed at reading , writing , and math and to succeed in IB exams and standardized tests . At the same time , we include project and collaborative based assignments , group and individual / personalized work that develop collaboration , critical thinking , research , and data analysis skills .
At ICS we develop skills and understanding of concepts and enable voice and choice over a student ’ s learning .
