icreate Africa. www.icreateafrica.com Recap ISF 2018 On 26th – 27th October 2018 at A Class Park, FCT Abuja, Nigeria, iCreate Africa hosted the iCreate Skill Fest 2018 which was confirmed as Africa’s biggest Technical and Vocational Skill Competition til date. The maiden edition of the iCreate Skill Fest (ISF) 2018, under the leadership of iCreate Africa’s CEO/Founder Mr. Bright Jaja was supported by partners such as Robert Bosch Nigeria Limited, GIZ, Industrial Training Fund (ITF), Cachez Group, Sterling Bank Plc, BON Hotel Abuja, German Embassy Abuja, Nigeria Embassy Berlin, Julius Berger Nigeria, Trace TV, and The Fashion Academy Abuja. The 2-days Skill Competition featured 14 different skill categories in Construction, IT/ Tech, Culinary and Creative Arts industries respectively, i.e. Brick Laying, Plumbing, Carpentry, Tiling, Tailoring, Art, Hair Dressing, Barbing, Make-up, Website Design, App Development, Graphics Design, Robotics and Cooking. Participants from all parts of Nigeria and other West- African countries were competing in tense and demanding test projects, i.e. drone design and fabrication in Robotics, miniature reconstruction of Abuja City Gate in Bricklaying, evening dress in Garment Making etc. The skill excellence showcased across all skill sets was highly encouraging to fellow youth and employers who witnessed the competition. 7
