Da Liite Slanga I started in the hip hop arena as a rapper. In 1985, myself and 3 other classmates started a group called The Enforcers. We became very popular in the surrounding small towns that we were in and close to. We had discovered what we wanted to do with our lives. 3 years later, and approaching our high school graduation, we had a plan. The plan was to come to Arizona, go to school, grab a good paying job, and do what ever we had to do from there to make it big as rap stars. As time went on, that plan didn’t work out at all and eventually we all found ourselves on very different paths. After being here in Phoenix about 10 years later, I joined a group of artists called SWD, which had rappers and producers. After being with them for a couple of years, I felt stongly that the Lord had called me to leave that group. I wrestled with it for about a week. Then finally, I decided to make that step and as soon as I did, I felt as peaceful as ever! I then started rapping for the Lord, and without warning, my aunt surprised me with a keyboard. She said the Lord layed it on her heart to do it. So even though I had never produced before, I really didn’t have any other choice. This is my humble beginning as a producer. Now here in 2013, I’ve just graduated from Phoenix College with 3.59 average in Audio Production Technology. This is my story, and with the combination of God’s revelation, my obedience, and education - Liite Slanga Productions is about to blast out of sight!
