Miz Tiffany is a songwriter and rapper from Mississippi. “And this Holy Ghost fired out straight up out the Dirty South / Take me as I am, not a sinner nor a saint I am (fire) / Holy Ghost fire” she raps over a catchy dance track called “Pour It Out,” which is one of many stand-out tracks featured on her anticipated debut EP entitled, “I Ain’t Preaching to the Choir."

Her single, which holds the same name as her EP, “I Ain’t Preaching to the Choir,” demonstrates the revelation and power of Jesus operating through Miz Tiffany to reach and bring souls into the Kingdom of God, while commanding and charging those who have already received the salvation of the Lord to step outside of the four walls of the church to fulfill The Great Commission. In the chorus of “I Ain’t Preaching to the Choir,” Miz Tiffany proclaims, “I ain’t preaching to the choir ‘cause they already believe / This ministry with no walls, I’m taking gospel to the streets / Lord open up their eyes so it’s You that they can see / I’m standing in the spotlight but it’s Jesus they’re receiving.”

Although Miz Tiffany says that she officially received baptism in Jesus’ name at age fifteen, she reflects on the fact that she has had a relationship with God all of her life since age 3. “I couldn’t see God, but I knew that God was real when I was a child. I’ve always been cognizant of a higher being and the connection that I had with that higher being, that being God.”

Miz Tiffany began writing poetry at age 7. “I remember writing and illustrating my first riddle book and turning it in as an assignment to my first grade teacher.” On a hot summer morning in 1994, Tiffany and her cousin decided to write a song inspired by ‘90’s era music artists and groups. It was that morning that Tiffany realized that she could rap her poetry. “I wrote my first rap when I was ten or eleven years old.” At age 18, Tiffany was introduced to studio recording by her boyfriend. “He didn’t know that I could rap and I really just enjoyed sitting back and watching them record. It was always something about it that deeply resonated with me, but even then I didn’t realize the level of the gifting and the calling that I had upon my life.”

While Miz Tiffany may not have realized her true identity in Christ during that time, the enemy sure had. “When I was twenty years old, I had a near-death experience. I was a passenger in a car accident in which I sustained a brain injury, spinal cord injury, and several other internal injuries which all healed supernaturally. I had a small scratch on my right big toe. I didn't have to have any surgeries or long-term care. No one could ever tell that I have that type of testimony by just looking at me.”

She lay in a coma in ICU for 3 days and doctors’ reports said that she was clinically brain dead. If at any time people wondered whether the hand of God was on Tiffany’s life, this time would have been the indication and the illumination of the manifestation of His grace in her life. “It was that experience that took me to a higher level in God and anointed me for such a time as this. I know firsthand, the resurrection, and healing and restorative power of God. Everything the doctors said that I would not be able to do, I am doing it. I can think. I can read. I can write. I can speak. I have a bachelor degree. I have a master degree. I write my own lyrics. I always have. That’s just the fire in me - the passion, the drive, the motivation, the hope, the faith to never give up on this journey that we call life.”

Now that Miz Tiffany realizes the purpose for this season in her life, she plans to walk boldly into her destiny and while she doesn’t have all of the details, she continues to trust in God’s will and believe that He has the perfect plan for her. “All things working together for my good gives life to the God-given vision that I have. I am sold out to God and dedicated to giving Him glory in the earth as it is in Heaven.”

As a Christian rapper, Miz Tiffany has made history being the only female artist in the first opening act at the 1st Annual Jackson Hip Hop Awards. On New Year’s Eve of 2015, she was an opening act at a concert where Uncle Reece was the headlining artist.

Miz Tiffany continues to remain consistent as an artist in the music business. She hopes to travel the world to share the good news of Jesus Christ. "Ministry is in my heart just as much (if not more) as music is in my heart."
