OF, RELATING TO OR HAVING THE CHARACTERISTICS OF AN ICON
COMPASSION
INTERNATIONAL
Words mean a lot. They each bare a piece
of history, occupy a portion of culture and
translate the world and our place in it.
When I was asked to come on board at Iconic Magazine, I was struck by
the strength of the title. That word, iconic, carries a tremendous load. By
definition, whatever is labeled such represents a certain entity. From its
founding, by Seneca Hinds, the magazine has consistently been representative of the one true icon—Jesus Christ. That will never change.
As the magazine enters a new phase in design and content, my prayer is
that each page, each word, does just that. How? By studying, knowing
Him, seeking His heart, discovering new truths of His life and love here
on earth and the promises He has made for the hereafter.
What did we find?
Jesus was the living, breathing manifestation of love. Love that is patient,
kind. Love that doesn’t discriminate. Love that defies death. Love that
forgives me. And you. It’s a love worthy of worship, praise, honor and
reverence.
And so, as Iconic Magazine enters a new chapter, we promise to be inclusive, to recognize those who willingly give their gifts to honor and re
