SHONTAE  HILL

From Fayetteville, North Carolina.  She is married to Anthony L. Hill Sr. and together they have 3 boys.  (Anthony Jr., Avion, and Austin ages 9, 6, and 3) She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Billy and Lydia Henry, and has six sisters and five brothers.

Music has been the center of Shontae's life since the age of three.  Shontae used to sing with her sisters, called "The Henry Sisters", which was under the direction of her Mom and Dad.  They began singing at the Come As You Are Evangelistic Center in Aberdeen, North Carolina, where her grandmother Evangelist Lydia Jones, is the pastor.

Shontae has ministered through song and shared platforms with gospel artists such as  John P. Kee, Evangelist Shirley Caesar,  James Moore, The Clark Sisters, Keirra Sheard,  Zacardi Cortez, Mary Mary, Tye Tribbett, Donald Lawrence and the Tri-city Singers, and more. Shontae has also recorded "Live" for the "James Cleveland Gospel Music Workshop of America," youth choir in Atlanta, Indiana, Los Angeles, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, New Orleans, and Detroit Michigan, where she was chosen as the lead singer of several songs for the workshop's youth choir.  

Shontae attended Fayetteville State University, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Music and graduated Cum Lade in her class.  She had the honor of singing a solo called "Still I rise," for her college graduation ceremony. Shontae is currently a licensed Music/Chorus teacher, and has been teaching music for 12 years.  Shontae appeared on "It's Showtime at the Apollo" in March of 2003 in which she sang and was received well by people all over.  Shontae's freshmen CD, entitled "I'm Determined," was released on Danbla Records in August 2005.  She has recently released her CD called “By This Time Tomorrow,” in March of this year. It is an EP and has two songs entitled “By This Time Tomorrow,” and “Hold On.” Aaron Carter and her husband Anthony Hill, both produced and co produced the project.
 

Shontae's music ministry is growing more and more each day.  She is a gospel singer who relies upon her heavenly Father.  When she sings and ministers, she reaches out through Christ to help people of all ages and background.  Her love for Christ is stronger than ever, and she follows Him in order to reach the world!
