You actually want to put God back into Gospel, but there’s an artistry to it. When people come and pay money to see your shows and pay money to see you minister, there’s an aspect that you have to bring to the stage. That is entertainment. There is a level of ministry, but there’s also a level of entertainment. There’s also a level of consistency. er they put you ... Whether you’re an opener or a closer, you close that show every time you get on the stage. I’ve learned so much from him. Just even in longevity in the industry. Every time he puts out a record, you’re guaranteed to have some hits on there. I pattern myself after a lot of the things that I’ve learned from him. Ricky’s been doing this thing for almost thirty years. As long as he’s been in it, there’s never been a time when they’ve mounted that stage and they didn’t give a hundred percent energy, a hundred percent of everything that they have.
