greats, as well. In 2010, Keesha wowed and captured the
heart of Dr. Bobby Jones when she performed at the
IMAC Conference in a little town called Hendersonville,
TN. This would be a night she would never forget when
Dr Jones happened to be sitting in the front row and
as she started singing, her tracks, unfortunately, began
to skip. As she finished ministering, maintaining her
professionalism as an artist, Dr. Jones grabs the mic and
asks, “Where have you been and why have I never heard
you before?” He then goes on to say, “You’re a star!”
Since then, God has continued to show favor on her as
she has been featured multiple times, internationally
through the Word Network, performing on “Bobby
Jones Presents,” sharing the stage with artists such as
Kim Burrell, The Joyboyz, and Tim Rogers & the Fellas.
Still not stopping there, she continues to move even
closer towards her destiny, when she is blessed with
the opportunity to grace the stage of “Bobby Jones
Gospel” with industry’s top gospel artists Mary Mary,
Vashawn Mitchell, and Keith “Wonderboy” Johnson at
BET studios, in Washington, DC. It is during this time,
that she delivered her heartfelt testimony, still being
talked about to date, topping it off with an amazing,
anointed, and from the depths of her soul performance
of her song, “Breakthrough.” This show aired on BET as
the 2011 season premiere. She then went on to write
and record her hit Christmas single, “Born is the King,”
released during the 2011 holiday season.
Just recently Keesha became the winner of the
Blockbuster Showdown “Upcoming Artist Award” 2012
in Florence, South Carolina, being judged by industry
professionals and is also currently the nominee for the
Gospel Music City Awards which will be held in Nashville,
TN. April 28th.
Keesha is married and an active member of Simeon
Baptist Church, in Antioch, TN where she is currently
praise and worship leader.
She is currently writing and recording her sophomore
album.
