Oral Pusey Is Alleluia Bwoy (A LIVING TESTIMONY)
Oral Pusey is popularly known and is called by his stage name Alleluia Bwoy. Born and grew up in Jamaica in a not so small ghetto community in the town of Morant Bay in the parish of ST Thomas, he is the seventh of eight children born to his mother and the third of four to his father. Oral Alleluia Bwoy Pusey (the full name that is also use by some persons to introduce him to platforms) has been singing from a very young age and is now mature into an all rounder in Gospel Music; he is a singer, hardcore DJ, sing J, songwriter and musician.
As a young man Oral’s talent was very apparent and of such he was seen as one of the best Dance hall Artiste in his community and parish and so the event “Ghetto Splash” was his domain. Oral migrated to Kingston after he was encouraged by his mom to leave St Thomas in pursuit of his dream to become one of Jamaica’s top dance hall Artiste. His mom a firm Christian woman was never in agreement with the life style Oral had started living since the very day he had turned his back on the Church and had backslidden from the Christian path way that his parent grew him in, but because of the constant gang fights that Oral was often times involved in, his mom thought it wise to encourage him to leave the parish to go after a career she never really wanted for him, and it was in this pursuit that the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ confronted Oral while he was on his way to a formal audition, at one of Jamaica's most popular outstanding recording studios in Kingston Jamaica.
Though Oral loves to read the Holy Bible and talk to God in prayer he had never heard God spoken back to him in the way humans does to each other as friends with friends, but that was about to change! While Oral was on his way from Rollington Town where he lived in Kingston at the time, seated in the back of one of those small minibuses, Oral knew it was the right time to whisper another prayer to the Lord, and so he slightly bowed his head and started begging God to help him past the audition that he was now on his way to. And so with his head slightly bowed talking to God, to Oral’s amazement he heard a strong and powerful voice speaking back to him; the Voice sounded as if it was speaking from inside himself, and at the same time the voice sounding as if it was all around him and he was in the middle of this voice, that spoke to him in his own language and familiar voice, which though familiar he could not identified it with anyone he knew; but the voice identified itself by asking Oral this question, “how you want me to help you past the audition and is not me you going to sing for”, while Oral was pondering this question he opened one of his eyes and slowly held up his head looking to see if anyone else in the minibus heard and knew what was happening, but surprisingly to him everyone else in the minibus was minding their own businesses and none of them heard that powerful voice that literally shook the bus that they were in, except for Oral, while the voice repeatedly ask him the same question about three times over and each time with more emphasis. And so all the way to the audition that day, Oral thought on the question that he knew without a doubt that it was God who spoke to him asking him the question. Oral went on to studio, past the audition and for certain was in the lineup for his big break in Reggae dance hall, but Oral could not have gone on and continued in the dance hall path way, because of the profound experienced of God speaking directly to him and the question that he knew for sure was ask him by God, and so after serious pondering on the matter and a long series of hours upon hours of daily Bible studies Oral gave his heart to the Lord and renewed his relationship with his Savior Jesus Christ. Oral answered the calling upon his life and moved back to St Thomas where he was received back into his home church and has been living an honest God fearing life. And so after a few years walking completely with God Oral remembered and accepted the prophetic name “Alleluia Bwoy” that was revealed to him a few years prior to his reconciliation, and of such God causes Oral to start his own Music ministry “Got God N-Lightener Ministries”. Since then, Oral travels throughout Jamaica to different concerts and Gospel shows declaring God’s saving grace through his songs, ministering professionally as the Gospel Artiste known as the Alleluia Bwoy.
Daddy God! Daddy God! Daddy God whoye sweet Jesus; is his slang and expression that he shouts on stage while ministering; it is his way of commanding his audience attention to what God has sent him to deliver to them. He is highly motivated and places all his trust in God. He believes that with God all things are possible! He is an enthusiastic worker, keen, and has a very warm, amiable and communicable disposition. Oral loves and believes in the word of God so much that he studies the holy Bible from Genesis through to Revelation over five times and of such became an Enlightener in the word of God.
In his hit song Believe In A the Bible 100% Alleluia Bwoy has prophesied of taking the Gospel over ocean and seas; this prophecy is now fulfilling as he traveled to New York and Miami as well as many different parts of the Caribbean declaring God words."Believe In A The Bible 100%" has won the song of the year 2012 in the Atlanta Caribbean Gospel Music Awards, Show - Friday September 28, 2012.
