Grants update : Lydia Lee
Many readers will remember Lydia from 2018 when her sermon won Sermon of the Year .
I am writing to express my thanks to LWPT for the grant I received last year towards my final year of study at London School of Theology . Having begun my journey of studying theology in 2018 , with the intention of only studying for one year , once I started , I knew I would have a difficult time stopping ! This meant that by my third year finances would be stretched , and I would need additional assistance to complete the full three years of the degree .
Your grant made it possible for me to pay my fees and complete what has proved to be an extremely formative year in my journey in theological education .
The goal of LST is to equip the worldwide church by training individuals and churches , and so I now see my mission as using my theological education to educate and equip others in the church .
My final year dissertation led me to focus on how storytelling can be used in theological education for children , and I believe this has been an extremely significant project for me as an

individual and in my ministry to the church going forward .
I am currently discerning ordination and am about to take up a position in a local church serving children and families and am looking forward to putting into practice all that I have learnt .
I am immensely grateful for your financial support this year and how it has enabled me to complete this stage of my studies . I know that the support you have given me is made possible by so many individuals making donations and so I extend my thanks to every single person who invests in leaders in this way .

I graduated in-person last Saturday and during the ceremony , we were encouraged to clap our supporters .
This made me think of you all who have enabled me to take part in this year of study .
Thank you !
