LWPHomes is a charity which is close to the hearts of some long-standing LWPT supporters, as the two charities were historically linked. Westerley Woodhall Spa’ s Top 20 Award
Westerley Woodhall Spa were delighted once again when, for the third consecutive year, they were voted in the top twenty care homes by carehome. co. uk from the 1569 homes in the East Midlands region. Residents, relatives and friends sent their recommendations for the home to carehome. co. uk. LWPHomes are so thankful to everyone who voted for Woodall Spa.
Woodall Spa’ s residents have enjoyed the summer months and have been able to sit out in the beautiful garden. Monthly trips to‘ Tea House in the Woods’ for lunch are especially enjoyed by the residents. In July, several residents took a trip to Dunston Methodist Church for afternoon tea and musical entertainment from the local primary school choir. There are lots of activities going on with in the home with regular quizzes, scrabble, monthly painting club, U3A, knit and natter, bowls, skittles etc. There are also regular visits from Rosie the PAT dog which the residents really look forward to. Entertainment also included: the bell ringers, Golden beans, Magic of the movies, Red Imps and reminiscence sessions. The home is hoping to visit Skegness for fish and chips and to see the illuminations in the near future, along with the Christmas and New Year party.
