Easter Appeal : New Database
A lot of work has been going on behind the scenes at LWPT as we prepare to implement a new database . It will help make administrative processes smoother , especially around membership and communication . The full team has been involved in the project from the start , working alongside the software provider and data transfer consultants . The current testing phase will be followed by staff training , with a launch date scheduled for early June . A key benefit will be a platform that will allow us to grow our supporter base more easily and spread the word of LWPT further .

Coming up in Preach Magazine
The autumn issue of Preach magazine is all about disability . It aims to open dialogue and doors for your church and community to work better in areas of awareness and integration . Most contributors will be writing from their lived-experience of mainly physical disabilities but with references to learning needs too . Resources and books will cover a broader application . We interview Marsha de Cordova , Labour MP for Battersea , who is registered blind . Also : Rev Dr Hannah Lewis tells us about deaf preaching and BSL ; Dr Amy Kenny on My Body is Not a Prayer Request ; Rev John Naudé about preaching and leading from a wheelchair ; and Rev Kt Tupling , Diocesan Disability Advisor for Diocese of Oxford on her experiences . Co-founder of Wave Church , Bernice Hardie profiles an inclusive way of doing church , while Cavan Wood discusses living with a child with autism . Regular contributors are also looking at what the Bible says about disability : Rev Dr Helen Paynter focuses on the eunuch ’ s experiences in Acts 8 and Ian Paul brings an overview of the biblical perspective .
